Reproductive Child Health (RCH)

KEMHRC is also recognised training centre for RCH training. This activity is funded by World Bank through Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi.
Objectives:-
a:]To carry out "Training of Trainers" activities as a Collaborating Training Institution in Reproductive and Child Health.
b:]To monitor "Integrated skill development Training" and "Specialized skill development Training" of RCH care delivery personnel of Rural and Urban Health care Institutions in various recognized District Training Team Centres and Hospitals.
Details of Training Activities carried out:
The GOI has identified NIHFW, New Delhi as a Nodal Agency to co- ordinate the training activities.
Four types of Training activities are envisaged in the RCH Project-
a:]Awareness Generation Training for all categories right from the
level of Gram Panchayat Members, teachers, Health personnel up to District level officers of all Depts. (duration 2 days ). This training has
been discontinued with effect from 31 sl December 2000.
b:]Integrated/Foundational Skill Development Training: - For all personnel of Health department from MO downwards mainly to improve their skills in implementing RCH Programme.
c:]Specialised skill department or hands on training in MTP / Laparoscopic sterilization / Minilap / No Scalpel Vasectomy for Mas and IUD insertion for Nursing Personnel (ANMs and LHVs).
d:]Management training for senior officers at selected institutions in the country.
